Welcome to JobHQ.ca. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services. By purchasing a service or using our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
JobHQ provides advisory and educational career-support services, including but not limited to resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation coaching, LinkedIn profile optimization, and general job-search guidance. All deliverables are advisory in nature.
We Are Not a Recruiter: JobHQ does not operate as a recruiter or a temporary help agency (THA). We do not represent employers, screen or select candidates on an employer's behalf, negotiate employment terms, or charge placement fees. Any job market information provided on our site is for informational purposes only. We will decline any request to perform regulated recruitment activities under Ontario's Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).
Compliance with EPFNA: In accordance with Ontario’s Employment Protection for Foreign Nationals Act (EPFNA), we do not charge any recruitment-related fees to foreign nationals and do not collaborate with any party that does.
No Guarantees: Our services are designed to improve the quality of your application materials and enhance your job-search readiness. We do not guarantee job interviews, employment offers, specific salary outcomes, or any immigration-related results.
Fees: Service fees are displayed at checkout. Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) will be applied where required by law.
Rescheduling: Appointments may be rescheduled without penalty if the request is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session time.
Refunds: If you cancel a service before any work has commenced, we will issue a refund minus any non-refundable fees charged by our third-party payment processor. Once our work on your materials has started or a coaching session has been delivered, fees are non-refundable, except where required by Ontario's consumer protection laws.
You retain full ownership of your personal and professional documents (e.g., your resume). By using our services, you grant JobHQ a limited, non-exclusive license to use, review, and modify your documents solely for the purpose of providing the purchased service to you. You also grant us the right to maintain de-identified samples for internal quality assurance and staff training; you may opt-out of this by notifying us in writing.

All content created by JobHQ, including our website text, design, templates, and guidance materials, is our exclusive intellectual property and is protected by copyright and other IP laws. Materials you purchase are for your personal, non-commercial use only and may not be resold, republished, or distributed without our express written permission.
Our website may contain links to third-party tools and sites (e.g., for payments or scheduling). These are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party sites.
By subscribing to our newsletter or checking a consent box during checkout, you agree to receive commercial electronic messages from us. In compliance with CASL, every message will identify JobHQ as the sender and contain a clear, functional unsubscribe link.

Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobHQ and its personnel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to a specific service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JobHQ from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our services.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
